Allison N. Nunes
Allison N. Nunes is a Santa Clara county native. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, completing a four-year degree in three years. Returning to the Bay Area, she worked for five years in the high-tech industry, earning multiple customer service and peer-recognition awards while completing a Master’s Degree in English at San Jose State University. In 2017 Ms. Nunes received her Juris Doctorate degree from Santa Clara University School of Law.
While in law school Ms. Nunes was Vice President and Secretary for the Family Law Society. She also worked as a judicial intern in the family division at the Santa Clara County Superior Court, where she focused on domestic violence cases, as well as in the criminal division. In 2015 Ms. Nunes was the recipient of the Santa Clara Law Pro Bono Recognition award for her extensive volunteer efforts, which included four years of volunteer work at local elementary schools, teaching women’s self-defense seminars, and helping at Next Door Solutions, an organization which provides support to victims of domestic abuse in Santa Clara County. Ms. Nunes was the recipient of Cali Excellence for the Future Award for being top of her class in Mediation.
Ms. Nunes joined Hoover Krepelka as a law clerk in 2016, and was promoted to associate attorney upon passing the California Bar Examination.
When she is not practicing law, Ms. Nunes trains in and teaches Krav Maga. She also likes spending time with her family, whitewater rafting, and reading.
