Areas Of Practice

Lee Hoffman, JD, brings a disciplined, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach to his practice. His professional path includes service in the United States Marine Corps, experience in the medical field, and extensive legal training—an uncommon combination that strengthens his ability to navigate complex and emotionally challenging matters with steadiness and clarity.

Before earning his law degree from Whittier College School of Law, Lee worked for several years as a paralegal, building a strong foundation in litigation and legal analysis. Since becoming an attorney in 2016, he has represented clients in both family law and criminal defense. He began his legal career in family law and later expanded his work to include criminal defense, while continuing to support long-standing family law clients. This breadth of experience allows him to provide thoughtful, strategic guidance tailored to each client’s needs.

Lee has also contributed to impactful civil rights litigation, collaborating on a legal team that secured a favorable settlement in an excessive-force case against a local municipality. His work reflects a commitment to fairness, accountability, and strong client advocacy.

He is admitted to practice in all four federal district courts in California. In recognition of his service to the community and his advocacy for survivors of domestic violence, Lee received the Lady Justice Award from the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley.

Outside the office, Lee enjoys spending time outdoors—fishing, camping, and exploring the Sierra Nevada. He is also an avid bonsai enthusiast with a well-tended and growing collection.
