Katherine Moinpour is a California family law attorney serving clients throughout Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Santa Clara County, representing individuals in divorce, custody, and complex family law matters as a dedicated divorce and family law attorney. She provides strategic, results-driven, and compassionate advocacy to individuals navigating some of life’s most challenging transitions. She is known for helping professionals, business owners, and high-earning individuals navigate high-conflict and high-stakes family law cases while protecting their financial stability and relationships with their children. Her approach is focused on achieving efficient, practical resolutions while safeguarding her clients’ financial interests and parental rights.

Ms. Moinpour represents clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce (dissolution of marriage), child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support (alimony), domestic violence restraining orders, property division, and premarital and postmarital agreements. She also handles family law appeals, providing strategic advocacy at both the trial and appellate levels.

Through her work with Hoover Krepelka, LLP, Ms. Moinpour offers clients the strength, resources, and depth of experience of one of Silicon Valley’s leading family law firms, while also expanding her practice to serve clients in Southern California. As the lead attorney at Hoover Krepelka’s Westlake Village office, Ms. Moinpour regularly represents individuals and families throughout the Conejo Valley—including Westlake Village, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, and Agoura Hills—as well as the broader San Fernando Valley and Ventura County. Her dual-market practice allows her to effectively represent clients with ties to both Northern and Southern California, including complex cases involving relocation, multi-county jurisdiction, and high-asset divisions.

Ms. Moinpour earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (now UC Law San Francisco), where she received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Services from the University of California, Davis, with minors in Psychology and Music.

During law school, Ms. Moinpour gained extensive courtroom and dispute-resolution experience. She clerked with the District Attorney’s Offices in San Mateo and San Francisco and served as a mediator through the UC Hastings Mediation Clinic, developing a strong foundation in both litigation and settlement-focused advocacy.

Before joining Hoover Krepelka, Ms. Moinpour practiced at Bay Area Legal Aid, where she represented a diverse range of clients in divorce, custody disputes, domestic violence matters, and support cases, reinforcing her commitment to effective and compassionate representation during life’s most difficult transitions.

Clients value Ms. Moinpour for her calm, solutions-oriented approach, clear communication, and strong advocacy during what is often one of the most challenging periods of their lives. She works to minimize unnecessary conflict while positioning her clients for long-term success—whether through negotiated agreements or litigation when necessary.
