Kelsey Hickman grew up in the East Bay Area and attended California State University, Fresno for her undergraduate studies. In 2016, she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a minor in Mass Communications and Journalism studies. While at Fresno State, she was an active member of the Delta Omega chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Ms. Hickman knew she wanted to return to the Bay Area and decided to attend law school at Santa Clara University, School of Law, where she was a board member of the Women & Law Society and Black Law Students Association. In May 2019, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Juris Doctorate.

During her time at Santa Clara Law, she interned at the Family Justice Center of the Santa Clara Superior Court with the Honorable James E. Towery. Through this internship, she had the unique experience of viewing and understanding the complex issues in family law matters from the perspective of the Court. From this experience, Ms. Hickman made the decision to pursue the practice of family law and tailored the remainder of her time at Santa Clara Law to this practice by taking courses in Community Property, Family Law, Domestic Violence, and receiving the Witkin Award in Negotiations.

Ms. Hickman joined Hoover Krepelka, LLP as a Law Clerk in January 2018 where she worked throughout law school. Following her completion of the July 2019 California Bar Exam, she returned as a Post-Bar Law Clerk. After successfully passing the California state bar examination in November 2019, Ms. Hickman was promoted to Associate Attorney at Hoover Krepelka, LLP. In April 2023, she was promoted to Senior Associate Attorney.

As a Bay Area native, Ms. Hickman is a die-hard Giants, Warriors, and 49er fan and attends games whenever she can. Her favorite days are those spent relaxing at home watching football on Sundays with her family, with the occasional friendly fantasy football competition.
